Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for DevSecOps Engineer with GCP and GKE / Kubernetes experience to support the development of a new controls application that governs how organization consumes and contributes to Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). This application is used by all engineers globally in the organisation.
  • We are looking for a self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision, under pressure to tight deadlines. We provide an Agile working environment, a great team, and a collaborative and learning culture.
  • Work collaboratively with the lead developer on all aspects of application development
  • Work on typical DevSecOps tasks such as Kubernetes environment setup, CI/CD, automated testing etc.
  • Coordinate with other teams to complete complex interdisciplinary tasks
  • Take collective responsibility with other team members for the build and maintenance of the product; support each other to develop an exceptional performant product / customer journey / service.
  • Continuously improve the product and reduce technical debt
  • Proactively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Backlog refinement and Daily stand-ups.
  • Work on secure development concepts
  • Quick adoption to new technology stacks
  • Process monitoring, and more broadly, constructing a “safety culture” within the company

Required Skills:

  • You may have a background gained in Financial Services or in a big 4 consultancy or Systems integrator and will have the following expertise.

Required:

•           Experience using Cloud platforms, GCP/Azure preferred

•           Kubernetes and Docker expertise, preferably GKE

•           API Development

•           CI/CD, preferably Jenkins (Groovy & shell scripting experience)

•           Relational database experience e.g. Postgres, CloudSQL

•           Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform

•           Python testing frameworks

•           Understanding Version Control Systems (Gitbub & Bitbucket)

•           Understanding of Linux & OS Concepts

•           Experience in Docker environments

•           Strong communication skills

Desired:

•           Python expertise (Experience with Python Django framework and Celery)

•           AI/ML Models Secure Development and Implementations

•           Good knowledge of Open Source software from a usage, vulnerability & license perspective

•           Exposure to cyber scanning tooling like Aqua, Checkmarx etc.

•           Exposure to tools like Sonatype IQ Server/Lifecycle, Nexus repository etc.

•           Familiarity with open source license scanning tools like FOSSology etc.

•           Familiarity with Service Now, Jira Service Desk, JIRA and Confluence

•           GitHub, Postman

•           Experience of working in an Agile environment
