EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY
Company Name: LSA Recruit Website: www.lsarecruit.co.uk Effective Date: 10 March 2026
LSA Recruit (“the Company”) is committed to promoting equal opportunities, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of its business operations, including recruitment, IT staffing, training, and cybersecurity consulting. Our “People First” approach is central to our mission of connecting talented professionals with top employers.
We are committed to creating and maintaining a working and recruitment environment that is inclusive, respectful, and free from unlawful discrimination, harassment, and victimisation. We aim to ensure that decisions about people—whether employees, contractors, candidates, trainees, or suppliers—are made fairly and based on merit, skills, and role-related requirements.
We believe that a diverse workforce is essential for innovation and success. We aim to ensure that no job applicant, employee, candidate, or trainee is treated less favourably on the grounds of:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender reassignment
- Marriage and civil partnership
- Pregnancy and maternity
- Race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin)
- Religion or belief
- Sex
- Sexual orientation
These are known as “Protected Characteristics” under the Equality Act 2010. LSA Recruit is committed to a policy of treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
This policy applies to all aspects of the Company’s activities, including:
- Internal Employment: All LSA Recruit employees, workers, consultants, and contractors, including recruitment to roles within LSA Recruit.
- Recruitment Services for Clients: Permanent, Contract, Contract-to-Hire, Offshore, and Executive Recruitment, including sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing support, offering, and placement activities for candidates with clients.
- Candidate Placement: Including but not limited to Business Intelligence, AI, Data Science, SAP, Java Development, and Cloud Analytics.
- LSA Training: Access to IT training programs and certifications.
- Cybersecurity Consulting: Provision of security assessments and governance support.
Where LSA Recruit is acting as a recruitment agency or employment business, this policy applies to our conduct and decision-making throughout the recruitment and selection process. We also expect our clients and partners to support equality of opportunity and to avoid unlawful discriminatory instructions or requirements.
As a specialist recruitment and IT staffing agency, LSA Recruit acts as an intermediary between employers and job seekers. We are committed to ensuring that:
- All recruitment processes are based on merit, skills, and the ability to perform the role.
- Job advertisements are drafted to encourage applications from all sections of society and do not use discriminatory language.
- Selection criteria (for CV screening and interviews) are objective, evidence-based, and related strictly to the requirements of the job.
- We provide fair access to opportunities and do not unlawfully exclude or disadvantage individuals due to a Protected Characteristic.
- Where reasonable adjustments are required for candidates with disabilities (for example, interview format, timing, accessibility, or assistive technology), we will work with candidates and clients to facilitate those adjustments.
- We advise our clients on the importance of diversity and inclusion in their hiring practices and will not knowingly act on discriminatory instructions.
- In Executive Recruitment, we proactively seek a diverse slate of candidates for leadership roles to support fair representation at the highest levels of business.
Our training programs are designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary for the modern IT landscape. We ensure that:
- Access to training courses and certifications is provided without discrimination.
- Reasonable adjustments are made for individuals with disabilities to ensure they can participate fully in our training programs.
- Career advice and job search tips (CV and interview guidance) are provided based on industry best practices and are accessible to all candidates.
LSA Recruit operates globally, tapping into international talent pools. We apply the same principles of equality and fairness to our offshore recruitment services, ensuring that candidates are evaluated based on their professional qualifications and technical expertise, regardless of their geographical location or national origin.
LSA Recruit maintains a zero-tolerance approach toward any form of unlawful:
- Direct Discrimination: Treating someone less favourably because of a Protected Characteristic.
- Indirect Discrimination: Applying a provision, criterion, or practice that disadvantages people with a Protected Characteristic without objective justification.
- Harassment: Unwanted conduct related to a Protected Characteristic that violates dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.
- Victimisation: Treating someone less favourably because they have made or supported a complaint under this policy.
Any such conduct by employees, contractors, suppliers, clients, candidates, or third parties that we interact with in the course of our services will not be tolerated. Where concerns arise, we will take appropriate action, which may include investigation, removal from an assignment/process, reporting to a client, termination of a relationship/engagement, and/or disciplinary action (as applicable).
LSA Recruit will support awareness and understanding of this policy through appropriate training and communication, which may include:
- Induction training for new starters and contractors.
- Refresher training for staff involved in sourcing, screening, interviewing, shortlisting, client management, training delivery, and decision-making.
- Guidance on inclusive job adverts, objective selection, and appropriate workplace conduct.
- Communicating this policy internally and making it available to candidates/clients where appropriate.
The CEO and senior management team of LSA Recruit hold ultimate responsibility for the implementation of this policy. However, all employees and contractors have a duty to act in accordance with this policy and treat colleagues, candidates, and clients with respect.
Any individual who believes they have been subjected to treatment that breaches this policy (or who witnesses behaviour that may breach this policy) should report it as soon as possible. Reports can be made to a line manager, a member of senior management, or via the Company’s complaints or HR process (as applicable).
LSA Recruit will:
- Treat reports seriously and handle them promptly, sensitively, and (as far as possible) confidentially.
- Investigate concerns in a fair and proportionate manner, keeping appropriate records.
- Take appropriate action where a breach is identified, which may include training, warnings, removal from an assignment/process, reporting to a client, termination of a relationship/engagement, and/or disciplinary action (as applicable).
- Protect individuals from victimisation for raising concerns in good faith, even if the complaint is not upheld.
LSA Recruit will regularly review its selection criteria and recruitment processes to ensure that this policy is being implemented effectively. We use our 18+ years of expertise to ensure that our “Hiring Success” model is inclusive and equitable.
Any individual who believes they have been subjected to treatment that breaches this policy should raise the matter through the LSA Recruit Complaints Procedure. All complaints will be handled seriously, confidentially, and in a timely manner.
LSA Recruit reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any employee found to have breached this Equal Opportunities Policy.
