Position Name: German Speaking Desktop Support Engineer (L2 or Band2)
Job type: 1 year Fixed Term Contract

Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Min. 5 years’ experience supporting users
- Mid-level experienced end-user support technician with min. 5 years’ experience supporting users, ideally with experience working in the financial sector.
- Calm & balanced temperament is a must with an ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Candidate must be able to prioritise concurrent tickets and confidence to support VIPs.
Required Skills:
- Experience of working with a Financial Organization
- Provided support to VIP users, Senior Executive, Directors
- Its an onsite support with no remote work
- Flexible doing overtime, weekend activities, on call support
- Fully competent with supporting:
- Windows 10 & Windows Server 2012, 2016 onwards
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange (EXCH & EXO)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Microsoft 365 services
- Basic experience with PowerShell (exchange online/Azure)
- Zoom
- Teams
- Experience supporting hardware such as Thin Clients, Laptops, iOS devices
- Desirable Optional Skills
- VMware Horizon
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune

- Client Device Manager’
- Experience using Service Now ITSM
Additional role specific skills:
- Expertise with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and infrastructure in the cloud
- Expertise in networking, including knowledge of subnets, routing, firewalls
- Understanding of MDM technologies like Mobile Iron or InTune
- Advanced knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities. Expert troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment, and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills.
- Strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and managing tickets.
- Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly, business-friendly, and technical language.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines; solve problems requiring creativity, initiative and drive; self-motivated and enjoys a sense of pride in their accomplishments
- Maintain professional, healthy relationships with all fellow team members and management and demonstrate awareness of support issues/needs as they apply on a company-wide and business basis; adept in creating/maintaining documentation to support, and enforce standards, policies, and processes
Key requirements for the candidate:
• Well-presented, friendly & strong communicator
• Willing to work 5 days p/week in the office plus weekends.
• Ability to support technical needs of a 25-person office, including VIPs.
