The SAP P2P & ePPDS Solution Architect (China Region) designs and delivers optimized Procurement-to-Pay and advanced Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling solutions on S/4HANA. This role synchronizes global supply chain templates with mainland China’s fast-paced manufacturing ecosystems, localized sourcing regulations, and domestic supplier networks, requiring native-level Mandarin and professional English fluency.
Advanced Planning & Production Architecture:
Design end-to-end ePPDS and PP architectures embedded within S/4HANA to support high-velocity Chinese manufacturing plant. Optimize Finite Scheduling and Capacity Planning models tailored to local shop-floor constraints and labour availability. Configure advanced heuristics, optimizer runs, and alert monitors to manage real-time manufacturing disruptions. Integrate ePPDS seamlessly with localized MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and IoT shop-floor devices.
Localized Sourcing & P2P Sourcing:
Architect P2P workflows compliant with Chinese statutory procurement laws, subcontracting rules, and local VAT matching. Integrate S/4HANA Procurement with local supplier portals, B2B networks, or digital platforms popular in China. Configure localized pricing schemas incorporating complex Chinese freight charges, local duties, and domestic rebates. Deploy localized cloud architectures for procurement systems on platforms like Alibaba Cloud or AWS China.
Compliance & Data Governance:
Align procurement master data structures (Material Master, BOMs, Work Centers) with stringent local traceability laws. Ensure manufacturing and procurement data hosting complies with China’s Data Security Law (DSL).Design localized supplier facing documents (e.g., Chinese-language Purchase Orders, RFQs) adhering to local commercial norms.
Leadership & Communication:
Lead SAP Activate blueprinting and design workshops in Mandarin with plant managers and procurement leads. Translate complex Chinese manufacturing requirements into English technical blueprints for global HQ governance. Govern local implementation partners and third-party manufacturing software vendors across the region.
Experience & Language:
Minimum 10 years of SAP PP/PPDS and MM/P2P implementation experience. At least 1 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementation featuring embedded PPDS within mainland China.Complete fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English is mandatory. Proven track record of deploying global manufacturing and sourcing templates into Chinese business units.
Technical Skills:
Expert knowledge of S/4HANA embedded ePPDS including PPDS master data, MRP Live, and the Product Board/Scheduling Board.Deep understanding of localized P2P integration points with SAP FICO (Material Ledger, Product Costing) and EWM. Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori planning apps and modern SAP integration protocols (OData APIs, IDocs).
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or equivalent. SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing or Sourcing and Procurement.
